A Few
Things You Should Know:

The reason I
set up this database was to have a thorough, extensive background of
my own Poms. I also thought that it would be for the good of
the breed to make this information public. Even though I
started this for my own dogs, anyone's Pom is welcome to be
listed!! It is not my intention to "out" anyone. Any kennel, large or
small, champion lines or non champion lines are welcome! Just
so long as it's a Pom I'll add it!!!

This
information is no where near guaranteed to be 100% accurate... However I do
use this search frequently myself and I take pride in making sure that
it is as accurate as can possibly be! I manually sort
through the entire database searching for errors often and will
continue to do so on a regular basis.

AKC has
very few records before the early 80's. Due to this and good ol'
human error some
spelling and punctuation errors are bound to exist. Without seeing
the actual pedigrees myself I have to rely on an educated guess as
to the correct spelling or punctuation of a dog's name. For
example some people like to add "'s" after their kennel
name. I do not because my kennel name ends in
"s". Therefore it is simply
"Murcks". I have however tried to add "'s" to many of the common kennel names to
simplify searching. If you see a dog listed incorrectly let me
know and I will fix it!
Search
Tips
-
If you
can't find the dog you are looking for try only entering a few letters
of their name... for example when searching for Lil' Lollipop O'Hearts
there are bound to be discrepancies in spelling. Try entering just
the words you know would be accurate such as "hearts" or
"lollipop" as "lil" could be "lil'" or
even "little".

The
search function is very sensitive and doesn't account for spaces so if you are looking
for "Murcks
Something"
you can just type in the search box "ckssom"
and it will return the above name for you.

When
using the slow search you can look up a dog based on it's
registration number. However not all dogs in the database have
a registration number listed with them.

Fast
search is used for finding only
one accurate word. I don't recommend using it as slow search
is much more thorough and doesn't take long at all.
Adding
a pedigree
-
If
you would like to see a dog added to the database send me a pedigree
and I will add them for you! It doesn't have to be an AKC
online pedigree or a certain number of generations, just so long as
it is accurate.

If
you are looking for a specific dog let me know! If you can
tell me the dog's name I will try to find info on it if I can!

Making
a Link

is how it's done:
Since
the numbers of the dogs change often simply book marking a page will
most likely result in an error next time you try to use it... you have
to use the following URL address to make your link work:
http://www.murckspoms.com/cgi-bin/geneal.pl?db=mp.dbw&op=pedigree&gens=5&pattern=
After the = sign
you will add your dog's name replacing spaces for + signs.
For example:
Castile's Southern Comfort would be castile's+southern+comfort
